Career Change Clarity: 3 Questions to Tell If It’s Time to Move On and Seek a Career Pivot

You’ve built something meaningful. You’ve shown up. Held it down. Been the one everyone could count on.

But here’s the uncomfortable truth: Loyalty can become a leash.

And guilt? Guilt can disguise itself as virtue—when it’s really just a warning sign that you’re betraying yourself.

When thinking about a career pivot, if you’ve ever asked:

  • “Should I stay a little longer?”

  • “Am I being selfish?”

  • “Will everything fall apart without me?”

Then this is for you 👉 Career Clarity Coming Atcha!

Let’s stop calling self-abandonment ‘commitment.’ Let’s stop mistaking guilt for guidance. Instead, ask yourself these 3 questions—and let the answers lead you toward growth that feels like truth.

Here are the 3 Questions For Career Change Clarity:

1. Am I staying because I’m making impact—or because I’m holding it all together?

Being the glue is not your calling. It’s a coping skill. You might be excellent at fixing the broken pieces—but that doesn’t mean it’s your purpose to stay in the mess.

Consider this: If I stepped back, would the system break… or would it finally learn to carry its own weight?

2. What am I loyal to—and is it still loyal to me?

You can outgrow the mission. The people. The version of you that said yes before she knew better. If your loyalty keeps you small, quiet, or resentful—it’s not loyalty. It’s bondage.

Consider this: Is my devotion to this role or relationship still serving the woman I’m becoming?

3. If no one would judge me, would I still choose this?

Let’s strip it all down. The accolades. The paycheck. The guilt.Would you still say yes to the life you’re living—or are you just afraid to say no?

Ask: If I gave myself full permission, what would I choose next?

💡 Your Next Brave Step

Take 5 quiet minutes.
